So Mandy and I have been talking about this year’s road trip. In 2014 we rode to The Grand Canyon, in 2015 we rode to Tennessee for the 4th of July, and in 2016 we tode to the Salt Flats. This year we are looking to take a trip….. up North.
Deciding the destination:
While the destination is not the most important part. What not the destination! Then what?! As a biker, planning is half the adventure. Finding a route (then finding a better one), small towns, and picking strategic gas stations to let your bumm rest.
Using our benchmark of 300 miles a day (sightseeing day) and 700 miles a day (get-me-off this thing day) we decided to have a sightseeing ย motorcyle road trip this year. With an average of 300 miles a day, we computed that for a 6 day round trip we can travel a total of 1,800 miles. That was the hard part believe it or not.
We been East and South but the North has been calling!ย
Okay. Now for the destination. What is 900 miles away from Los Angeles that is North? Oregon. Idaho. Wyoming.
Hmmm, what state to choose.

I vote for Oregon! ๐ Okay, maybe I’m biased, but it is beautiful here. I really enjoyed reading you and wife’s blog. Thank you so much for visiting mine. I do my best to try to offer helpful information. If you do choose to come this way, let me know if you have any questions about the area or the coast.

There’s a lot of great places to see within an hour or two of the coast as well. Let me know what you’re interested in seeing and I can put together a quick list of things you might be interested in. ๐

Hi. Sorry it’s taking a bit to put the list together for you. It’s been a busy month. I’m getting it wrapped up, just need to organize it and put everything in order. Do you have an email address I can send it to in the next day or two? When do you think you guys will be traveling?

No worries. It’s been busy for me too. I wanted to do a scavenger list for March. While I got the list ready, I haven’t been able to make time to do the list. Hahaha.
Anything you can give me will be greatly appreciated. An our trip is planned for June. So, we got time. ๐
